We believe in supporting not only the people and relationships we love, but also the businesses we work with and trust! Below are some links to the vendors we use, and also to the businesses of our clients who may prove useful in the times when So Gold’s services are also required (realtors, loan agents, babysitters, etc.):

Zach King – Banking/Finance

Zach works in sales for USA Mortgage. Mortgages are tricky, sometimes ugly, confusing things… so I know that if I ever need to get one on a future house, Zach will be the guy I talk to.  I also know that if I ever need a recommendation for a place to eat, Zach will be one of the first people I turn to. He’s a foodie, but not in the way where he says “I’m a foodie.” In the way where he truly knows good food inside and out and can dominate a kitchen.

Zach has been a friend of mine for a decade or so, and not too terribly long ago, M and I had the pleasure of photographing his engagement and subsequent marriage to his beautiful wife, Kelsey.

Here’s a photo we took of Zach and Kelsey! ^ Aren’t they cute?

Anyway, I know how difficult big decisions can be… people choose So Gold everyday, despite the fact that there are thousands of other great photographers in St. Louis, and it’s usually to capture something incredibly important. I also know how many big financial decisions start to crop up around the same time when you do need a photographer (getting married, new baby in the family, and so on). I truly believe in the power of service, and I know Zach will go above and beyond to get his clients what they need.

Zach “recently transitioned to the USA Mortgage team after a couple years in sales, and is really excited to help people with their biggest financial decisions.” They do VA Loans, USDA Loans with 100% financing, FHA, FHA 203K Loans for renovations, Construction Loans, and Conventional Loans. I know what literally none of those things are, but if you do know, then you probably need someone like Zach. I do know that USA Mortgage is the number 1 lender in St. Louis, so that is worth something.

Go talk to Zach if you need to make a big financial decision and think he can help. Tell him I sent you, and he’ll probably tell you an embarrassing story about me jumping into a pond on his wedding day or something.

There are very few people like Doug in this world. Doug is the mastermind behind Wildwood Green Arts, he’s a master potter, he’s the man who created and nurtured Gilberg Perennial Farms (which many St. Louisans remember from a decade or so ago), and he’s a no nonsense realtor… amongst many other things. He’s a renaissance man, basically. He has been in the real estate business for years, and aside from his strong local presence, he also has holdings internationally, because that’s just how Doug rolls.

“When it comes to thinking globally and acting locally, I have a lot of experience, and that experience allows me to treat my customers with attention, regardless of what or where they’re looking to buy or sell.”

Doug knows how to broker a great deal, and he’s one of a very select group of individuals that I would trust with such a huge decision. He’s honest, he’s fun to work with, and he knows business. He works with “buyers, sellers and investors in real estate transactions spanning all of the price ranges and property types.”

Here’s a portrait we took of Doug at a fancy property. He’s as honest as he is approachable.
